Initial Visits
First Visit – Day 1
Initial Paperwork: Your initial paperwork can be completed upon arrival at the office or is also available via fax or email for your convenience. One of the doctors will review your information to begin your assessment.
Consultation: The doctor will sit down, review your history, discuss your needs and determine if you are a candidate for NUCCA care.
Exam: A thorough orthopedic and neurologic examination will be completed. You are not rushed through this exam. Great care is taken to ensure that the doctors understands your needs and that nothing is missed.
X-rays: If necessary, a series of spinal X-rays will be taken. They help calculate the precise misalignment of your spine. After your first visit, the doctor will study, analyze, and compile your information.
Your first visit takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
Second Visit – Day 2
Report of Findings: The doctor will have analyzed any X-rays and completed a comprehensive review of the exam information from your first visit. The doctor will review the findings with you. All your questions and concerns will be addressed during this report.
X-rays: If a misalignment in your spine was found, the x-rays allow the doctor to determine the precise degree of your misalignment. This information is vital to properly correcting your spine.
First Adjustment: All adjustments are done by hand from the top bone of your spine, which aligns your entire spine. There is NO twisting, cracking, or popping of your spine. During the spinal adjustment, you will feel very light pressure, similarly, but a little heavier, than that of taking a pulse. This light pressure is applied in a very specific direction customized to your specific misalignment to move your spinal structures back into their proper position.
Post X-ray: Two post X-rays are taken immediately following your first spinal adjustment as a post-check to confirm that the correction was made as it was intended.
